FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why did you become a writer?

I’ve always had a wild imagination, a love for film, especially film that involves character or characters who are eccentric, and the strong will to survive. I was a eleven years old is when I first watched Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, and after watching I knew I wanted to create worlds and characters with endless possibilities, so I started writing short stories, and I just fell in love with the whole process of expressing myself and creating something that was mine, I was very shy growing up, so in a way the characters I created inspired me and gave me a newfound confidence in myself.

2. If your book were to be adapted into a movie or TV series, who would you envision playing your main character(s)?

If my book was adapted into a movie, who would I envision playing the main characters - Timothee Chalamet as Joey. I was amazed by his performance in the movie “Bones and all” (2022) One of the best films I’ve personally seen. - Amy Adams as Amanda. Her performance in Hillbilly Elegy was amazing, she can portray any type of character in a movie. - Christian Bale as Daniel. Rescue Dawn is one of my favorite films of all time. He can transform himself into anyone. One of the greatest actors of all time.

3. Where can I get Amanda?

4. How long did it take you to write your book, and what was the hardest part of the writing process?

My first novel took me 1 week to write. I lost my job, living in a roach infested hotel room in South Carolina, lying on my bed, drunk and alone, writing this story without chapters, just kept writing without stopping, the hardest part was remembering that what I was writing was a real event at a time when I was growing up, and the love that I felt for this woman had reappeared within me, a woman I haven’t seen for many years.

5. Did you follow a strict writing routine or process, or did you approach it more organically?

There is no routine when I write, I set down in quiet place, and I start writing without stopping, I don’t stop to plan, or look over, I don’t create chapters or prepare anything, I just write non-stop what I’m thinking and when I’m done, I’m done, that’s it, everything else from editing, rereading it happens after I’ve written what I’ve felt in the moments. So when I’m writing, there are no rules or boundaries.

6. Do you accept story ideas?

I accept ideas of characters and the worlds they live in, but it would be hard for me to put them in a specific story someone could envision, because when I start writing, the story can go anywhere, at anytime, someone’s when I’m focus and writing not even I have control where the story might go.

7. What do you want to achieve as an author in the next few years?

For my stories to relate to people, who are struggling, having identity problems, finding themselves, not being afraid to be who they are. My stories involve characters who display these type of emotions and feelings.

8. Are there any genres or writing styles you’d like to explore in the future?

The genres of books I enjoy are Romance, Mystery, Horror that have elements of the human struggle, and overcoming or not overcoming the world’s obstacles, stories with real meaning and depth to the human psyche.

9. Do you have any plans for a follow-up book, or are you exploring new projects?

I have plans to write another part of Amanda in the future. I also have many short stories I’m currently writing and have completed.
